Introducing Adult Discipleship Plan
A church without a plan for ongoing Christian discipleship is not fulfilling its responsibilities to it members. May that not be said of us!
Barbara Hale, of our Discipleship Ministry Team, recently examined several plans for ongoing Christian discipleship. She decided that The 9 Ways plan, created by Dr. David Artman and being used at First Christian Church, Harrison, is the best plan for us.
Dr. Artman will be our special guest Sunday, August 24. He will preach in the main worship service and lead discussion at a fellowship dinner immediately following. He will be introducing the plan to us. The plan defines nine methods by which we grow in our Christian maturity. It is very important that each member make every effort to be present that Sunday!
Judy Turner will help lead worship and discussion that morning. John Turner will preach in Harrison so that Dr. Artman can be free to be with us.

New Sunday Morning Schedule Begins September 7
Sunday school 9:30 - 10:30 Goal: full hour for classes.
Fellowship time 10:30 - 11:00 Goals: time for restrooms, refreshments, socializing, recognitions, celebrations, promotion of ministries, and hospitality for guests
Worship 11:00 - 12:00 Goal: keep the focus on worshiping God
We will follow this schedule September through December, evaluating it in November
to decide whether we should continue it into 2009.
